Here are the answers to some of the commonly asked questions.
If we cannot deliver or pick up your skip when it comes to the collection / delivery time you will be subject to a wasted journey charge. This varies from area to area so please make sure the area for your skip is clear and you have selected on or off road as applicable.
How much notice do I need to give when ordering my skip?
All booking received by 2pm Monday to Friday can be processed for next day delivery if required. All orders placed after 2pm may not be processed for next day delivery.
I don't know what size skip I need?
The website provides pictures, approximate dimension and capacities of the various skip sizes to help you select. Simply place the mouse over the skip size you require information about.
How much does it cost to hire a skip?
Hiring a skip depends on three key items: Area, Size and Waste Type.
How long can I keep the skip for?
The standard hire terms are 7 days from date of delivery. When you require the skip to be collected log back onto the site, use your booking reference and off-hire the skip or book an exchange.
When and how do I pay for the Skip?
All skip orders are paid for at the time of ordering on the website. We accept payment by all major credit cards.
How much weight can I put in the skip?
This depends on the skip size and volume of the waste material you are putting into the skip.
How high can I fill the skip?
Skips can be filled level to the top. (unsafe or overloaded skips will be subject to a surcharge).
What do I do with hazardous waste?
You cannot put any hazardous waste into the skips. Anything of a hazardous nature should be disposed of carefully where the site has been registered as a hazardous waste site, using the appropriate procedures. This can be arranged.
Can I get a skip delivered on Sunday?
Unfortunately we do not deliver on Sundays unless you have arranged a special delivery with the depot. If possible the skip can be delivered on the prior Friday or Saturday.
Can I hire a skip permanantley?
Yes this is possible with frequent empties.
Do you supply Wheelie Bins?
Yes. Ranging 360Ltr - 1100Ltr.With scheduled weekly empties.
When would I need a permit?
Permits are required by all local councils for skips that need to be placed on public land, including footpaths, verges, and the highway. All permits can be arranged prices may vary between different councils. We will advise you during the booking process if you are required to arrange the permit.
What happens to my waste after my skip has been collected?
Our company is committed to the process of enhancing its environmental performance and will continually measure and monitor standards and implement improvements whilst ensuring that all personnel are trained and aware of environmental issues and the environmental impact of their activities.
We are committed to increasing the percentage of materials recovered and recycled from the incoming waste stream and reducing the amount of waste being landfilled by the company in part by raising awareness of the benefits of separation at source. We aim to maximise reuse and the amount of energy recovered from waste by minimising the use of materials and non-renewable resources.
